Prerequisite:
Applicants must be 16 years of age, posses a third class medical
certificate, and be able to speak, read, and understand the
English language. This course prepares the student for entry
into the advanced commercial pilot program. Lecture, flight
laboratory, and exam laboratory will guide the student through
the several FAA exams. This program is designed to help prepare
students to enter the field of commercial aviation as a career.

The helicopter - aircraft systems - Airport operation - weight
& balance computation - aviation weather - aerodynamics - charts
& symbols - navigation - Federal aviation regulations - Flight
service stations - Tower controlled airports - radio communication
- cockpit management - awareness training - emergency operations
- aviation publications - flight computer - cross country planning
- FAA testing.
The minimum of the above subjects is 40 hours of flight time
(60 hours average) & 40 hours of ground school, and every day
self study. The time required to complete the course is approximately
12 weeks. Students must pass the FAA written test, and the FAA
oral and flight test. After successfully passing the UAA classes,
the students will receive a course achievement certificate issued
by UAA. The Private pilot certificate issued by the FAA can
not be used for compensation or hire, only for personal business
or pleasure.
